IMPHAL, Oct 14 : Juvenile, Tera drubbed PAMYAL, Patsoi 3-0 for the three of three Group B wins and qualified for the promotion match (final) in the 29th L Sangita Devi Memorial 1st Division Football League 2024-25 being organised by the Imphal West District Football Association.
Having beaten BMSC, Taobungkhok 2-1 and YWC, Malom 1-0 in their previous matches, confident Juvenile started on a bright note and entered into the break with a 2-0 lead as Nelson (7') and Bicky (14') made the most of their chances.
After the break, they carried forward their momentum and added another through Sanathoi in the 50th minute to further extend their lead to 3-0.
PAMYAL, after conceding three goals, upped their ante to reduce the margin with keeping their citadel intact but their efforts did not bear fruit and eventually went down 0-3 to their rivals based in Tera.
With three of three wins, Juvenile finished on top of the table and will play Group A winners in the promotion match.
Earlier in the day, NC Club, Khonghampat routed SCK, Kodompokpi 6-0 to remain undefeated in three games and went atop Group A table on 7 points for time being as KAN, Kadangband also remain in the hunt on 4 points (a win and a draw) with a match left to play.
Manisana (7', 33', 77', 88') starred in this one sided match as he netted four goals alone, two each on either side of the break while Kh Imanuel (16') and N Momocha (55') added a goal apiece.
BMSC will play YWC-M in the next Group B match on October 16 from 12.30 at PAMYAL ground before YAC, Yaiskul face KAN, Kadangband in the ultimate Group A match on October 18 at 2.30 pm.
Notably, the fourth placed teams from the two groups will be playing for the relegation match while the second placed teams will play for the 3rd and 4th places, and the third placed teams will play for the 5th and the 6th places respectively.
