Though the Government gave administrative approval amounting to Rs 1,13,16,00,000 for the projects, the expenditure sanction mentioned in the order issued by the Joint Secretary (Works) was only about Rs 5 lakh.
Another source said that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved the proposal sent by the State  Government to construct some roads in Manipur at an estimated cost of Rs 143.95 crore.
