Road accident kills youth

IMPHAL, Oct 12: A head-on collision with a Tata truck has killed a Royal Enfield rider today.
The incident occurred at around 7 pm at Sagolband Tera Khuraijam Leirak.
The truck was coming from Sagolband Tera Khuraijam Leirak towards the main road (New Cachar road) and the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 was coming from the opposite direction.
The two vehicles collided near a car wash at Sagolband Tera Khuraijam Leirak.
The rider of the two wheeler bike died on the spot.
He has been identified as Laishram Alendro Singh (28), son of L Okendro of Naoremthong Khumanthem Leikai.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck has been identified as Mainul Haque (38), son of Jabed Ali of Bidyapur Rajapukuri, Golaghat, Assam.
The other occupant of the truck (second driver) has been identified as Anil Bardewa (18) son of Bal Kumar of Midziphema Dimapur.
Police have seized the vehicles and the body of Laishram Alendro Singh has been deposited at RIMS mortuary for postmortem. The police have registered a case.
