Scribe fellowship conferred

IMPHAL, Oct 11: The RK Maipaksana Journalists Fellowship has been given to Dr Chongtham Narendra.
The award was presented to him by Padma Shri Aribam Syam Sharma on the 100th birth anniversary celebration of RK Maipaksana today.
The birth centenary celebration at the auditorium of the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal was organised by the RK Maipaksana Memorial Trust.
At the event, the gathering paid floral tributes to the photo of RK Maipaksana.
A Meetei Mayek translation of the book "Satyagraha Andolan" written by RK Maipaksana was released at the event.
Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Imphal's former president Professor Nongmaithem Tombi Singh and current president Longjam Joychandra Singh among other eminent personalities attended the event.
