All India Ranking Badminton Tourney Dylan Pangambam clinches U-15 singles title

IMPHAL, Oct 11 : Manipur's Dylan Pangambam clinched the U-15 singles title at the Yonex Sunrise All India Sub-Junior (U-15 and U-17) Ranking Badminton Tournament 2024 held at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh that concluded today.
Dylan, who is a trainee at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, sealed the U-15 singles title with a 22-20, 21-12 win over Medhansh Sharma in the final today.
He made it to the round of 32 with a 21-13, 21-9 win over Indrajit P before securing the last-16 round berth with a 21-13, 21-13 win over Vishwajit Ramchandra Thavil .
In the round of 16, Dyland knocked out Arnav Sharma to secure his quarterfinal ticket and entered the semi-final wherein he got the better of Karansh Naidu 25-23, 24-22 in a keenly contested match to seal his final ticket.
Dylan was ranked 16 in the All India Ranking before the tournament and his performance in the tournament will boost his position in the National ranking, said Manipur Badminton Association while congratulating Dylan on his success.
