TYCM elects new office bearers

The Tribal Youth Council, Manipur (TYCM) has elected new office bearers for the tenure 2024-27 during a meeting held on October 6, 2024.
According to a release issued by TCYM, the meeting chaired by the outgoing president Tolkham Maring, unanimously resolved to dissolve the current Executive Council upon the completion of its tenure.
In the meeting, Momo Tantanga was elected as the new president of TYCM along with Robert Rongmei as general secretary and Titus Golmei as executive member.
It was also decided to fill the remaining vacant posts during the next scheduled meeting.
In a formal handover, Tolkham Maring expressed his full confidence in the leadership and vision of the newly elected team as they take the organisation forward.
Notably, the TYCM, founded in 2007 by like-minded tribal youths and intellectuals of Manipur under the leadership of Ng Tharmi, remains a steadfast organisation dedicated to advocating for the rights and welfare of the tribal communities in the State.
Throughout the years, TYCM has actively undertaken numerous initiatives to address critical tribal issues and safeguard the interests of the tribal population in Manipur.
