Bijoychandra condoled

IMPHAL, Oct 10 : The Manipur Weightlifting Association, Imphal has condoled the demise of Hawaibam Bijoychandra Singhon October 6, 2024.
The association, in a condolence note, expressed that the passing of Bijoychandra has shocked the entire family of Manipur Weightlifting Association. He was the pioneer of the association and had served for many years as the founder general secretary and president. He was also the first National Category 1 referee of the State, it noted.
The members of the association observed two minute silence as a mark of respect to the former secretary and president during a condolence meeting held this morning at the residence of Ng Thoiba Singh, member of executive council, at Chingmeirong Mamang Leikai, it said.
The members also shared grief and pain of the bereaved family, it added.
