Local conference of CPI (M) held

Imphal, Oct 11 : The Communist Party  of India (Marxist) in a press release stated that the Khundrakpam local conference was held today at the residence of Yumlembam Nabachandra located at Uyumpok Maning Leikai. Before the start of the event, a flag hoisting ceremony was held and tributes were paid  to late comrade, Sitaram Yechury. A two minute silence was observed for the departed soul to rest in peace in heavenly abode.
Speaking at the event, Kshetrimayum Shanta said, “Manipur which was once a very peaceful State is now in dire strait since the NDA Government came to power. It is us, the labourers and farmers who need to play a crucial role to overcome this challenges. To achieve this, it is the responsibility for all of us to keep the frontal organisations of the party in a good shape.”
 A report compiled by Khundrakpam Local Committee, Secretary Nogmaithem Thoiba was also released in the event.
At the event, Loumee Marup, Secretary Sarat Salam, All Manipur Democratic Women’s Association Secretary, Ayekpam Ashabala Devi and Party State Committee member, RK Sanajaoba also spoke as fraternal delegates.
A 15 member, CPI (M) Khundrakpam Local committee was also constituted in the event and Comrade Nongmaithem Thoiba was elected as Secretary and Yumnam Sharat as Assistant Secretary, it said.
