The Prosecutor alleged that the Youth of Manipur created fear and alarm among the general public and induced persons to commit offence against public tranquillity and promoted enmity, hatred or ill will between classes on the ground of religion, caste or community.
The Prosecutor further alleged that the accused persons are habitual offenders.
The Court, after hearing the submissions of the Prosecutor and defense counsels, remanded the four to judicial custody till October 24.
In the meantime, a team of Porompat police station filed an application to make formal arrest of the four persons in connection with a suo moto case registered in connection with a press release of the YOM published on local TV channels and newspapers.
