Veteran T-20 : NAPSA book quarter final slot

IMPHAL, Jan 30 : NAPSA-Kha Imphal devastated Model Club-Chingamakha by 10 wickets for the second Group (B) stage win the 11th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament  at Langthabal Public Ground.
Model Club posted 101 runs for 8 wickets after electing to bat first on the back of Chinglensana's 48-ball 43 but NAPSA cruised to the target in 13.1 overs with Somorendro and Bhogendro producing an unbeaten first wicket partnership.
Santosh 17 and Cherish 14 also added double digit runs in Model Club's tally in their innings which saw Bhogendro (2/8 in 4 overs) and Johni (2/15 in 4 overs) claiming two wickets apiece and Gopal and Ratan clinching a wicket apiece.
In reply, Somorendro hit a 48-ball 57 while Bhogendro struck 40 off 31 to forge a 102-run partnership and set up the NAPSA's comprehensive victory.
Bhogendro who picked two wickets and scored an unbeaten 40 was eventually named man of the match.
The win helped NAPSA confirm a place in the quarter finals of the tournament with a Group tie left to spare.
KCC-Kongba will play ESU in the next Group B match tomorrow morning before YPHU take on YCC in a Group A match in the afternoon.
