Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra kicks off at Senapati

The two-day Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) campaign for Senapati kicked off today at the Multipurpose Hall, DC Office Complex, Senapati.
The campaign was organized by CAF & PD, Senapati along with Sub Divisional Office (SDO)/ Block Development Office (BDO) Senapati.
Speaking at the campaign, Mamoni Doley, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Senapati stated that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a Nationwide campaign targeting all the Gram Panchayats and districts of the country on inclusive development where no citizen is left behind.
She further stated that the campaign is the initiative of Government of India of reaching the unreached, achieving saturation, coverage of schemes and ensuring last mile delivery of flagship schemes.
She said that the main objective is to create awareness to the beneficiaries of various schemes, get maximum enrolment and obtain feedback from the public about issues faced during enrolment and benefits obtained during the campaign.
The DC mentioned that six villages will be covered during this two-day campaign along with an IEC van for dissemination of information and creating awareness to the public.
She appealed to the SDOs, BDOs and DLOs of the district to work in co-ordination and spread awareness starting from grassroots level.
The DC went on to caution that strict actions will be taken up to any officials who do not comply with public query.
She also appealed to the village chairmen and secretaries to educate villagers of various schemes relating to Health, PMAY, MGNREGA, Ujala, PMMVY, etc and advised the public to visit Government offices regularly and meet officials in inquiring and availing schemes.
Later the DC administered the pledge of Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat to all members present.
As a part of today's programme, the DC distributed six ration cards and two certificates of Har Ghar Jal on completion of Jal Jeevan Mission.
A total of 15 stalls from different departments were also opened and 21 persons were screened for NCD (Non- Communicable Diseases) today.
It may be noted that the Makhrelui, Rikhumai Taphou, Taphou Naga and Taphou Pudunamei villages were covered  today.
The programme was also attended by Dr Varun S Mehta, Professor or Psychiatry, Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, Jharkhand District Health Nodal Officer (DHNO) for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), SDOs, DLOs, village Chairmen and secretaries.
