SEMCO observes World Entrepreneurs’ Day

The South East Manipur College (SEMCO), Komlathabi, observed World Entrepreneurs’ Day on August 31 under the banner of Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan.
The program started with introduction of Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan and its objectives read by Dr Miranda Mutuwa, IQAC member followed by opening address delivered by Dr L Khiloni, Principal, SEMCO.
Three resource speakers were invited on the occasion.
Ts Mhanthung Anal, Proprietor of Eden café and book store and Eden Newspapers services, delivered the first lecture on the topic “Entrepreneurship and self- employment”.
Chinir Solomon, Proprietor of Sol Tent and Services, commenced his lecture on “Scope of entrepreneurship in Chandel District”.
Bs Chawan Anal, SBI Branch Manager, Chandel, delivered the last lecture on the topic, “SBI loans for entrepreneurs”, introducing varied loans schemes available for agro-based enterprises, SMEs and other allied business.
The program was attended by 120 people comprising of youngsters from Kapaam Youth Club, Penaching Youth Club along with college students and staff.
