Khongjom Tarpan Numit held

Thoubal, Sep 29: The 30th Khongjom Tarpan Numit was held today by paying homage and floral tributes to the forefathers and martyrs of Manipur organised by the Khongjom War Memorial Trust.
The ceremony was held in a simple manner owing to the restrictions imposed by the State Government in view of the prevailing tense situation in the State.
Speaking at the occasion, Khongjom War Memorial Trust Chairman and former Minister Moirangthem Hemanta said that Khongjom Tarpan Numit is observed annually at Khongjom War Memorial Complex however this year it is being observed near Khongjom river which flows nearby the Trust office complex owing to restrictions imposed by the relevant authorities.
