PLA celebrates 45th raising day

The proscribed RPF and its armed wing PLA celebrated the latter’s 45th raising day today.
Saluting the party’s flag and paying tributes to all the people who had laid down their lives for the cause of freedom were the main features of the raising day celebrations held at the PLA’s general headquarters, tactical command, strategic command, 252 mobile battalion, other military units, departments, stations and the party’s Central Bureau, SR-1, SR-2, SR-3 and SR-4.
The 45th raising day of PLA was also celebrated at different areas under divisions 2,4,6,8 and 10 of the party’s Central Bureau where festoons with stars and PLA’s red stars were displayed.
Another major feature of the raising day celebration was reading out of RPF acting President MM Ngouba’s message to the people, conveyed a press release issued by the outfit’s Deputy Secretary, Publicity Roben Khuman.
It also prayed that the 45th raising day of the PLA may bring unity and peaceful co-existence among all the people.   
PLA’s flags, festoons, block printings and symbolic stars were seen displayed at different localities.
PLA’s flags, festoons and stars were seen displayed on roads and other public places at Khuman Lampak, Sanjenbam and Takhel in Imphal East, Samurou Bazar and Wangoi Bazar in Imphal West, Thoubal Bazar, Leishangthem, Charangpat, Khangabok, Sangaiyumpham, Thoubal Moijing Meena Bazar, Khekman and Yairipok in Thoubal district, Hiyanglam, Kakching Khunou, Waikhong, Elangkhangpokpi and Yangdong Bazar in Kakching district, Kumbi Bazar and Kumbi Laisanthong in Bishnupur district.
Later, all the flags, festoons and stars were removed by police. The 45th raising day of the PLA was also celebrated at a location in Imphal where its cadres conveyed best wishes to the people and paid rich tributes to late leaders of the party and other revolutionaries.
