Karnataka Meitei Association (KMA), the Meitei diaspora organization residing in the State of Karnataka, has been consistently working to reach out to the families severely impacted by the current conundrum in Manipur.
In addition to the several relief materials provided to relief camps in various districts of Manipur, KMA has stepped forward to provide financial assistance to support the families in a phase manner.
In a heartfelt display of solidarity and compassion, KMA has disbursed a sum of Rs 10,000 each to two grieving victims' families of (Late) Laipujam Inao Meitei of Takhel Makha Leikai and (Late) Khoirom Meiraba Meitei of Ethai Barrage as an initial gesture.
According to a release issued by KMA, this financial aid is a small effort to help alleviate some of the immediate burdens faced by those who have lost their loved ones in the ongoing turmoil.
"Our commitment to the victims' families runs deep, and we pledge to continue our unwavering drive to stand beside them, providing solace through these trying times. In this spirit of unity and compassion, we earnestly implore individuals, organizations and the Government to support the noble humanitarian endeavour. Let us come together, hand in hand, to offer comfort and relief to those who need it most during this tragic period", it added.
Karnataka Meitei Association further urged all concerned to not raise funds in the name of KMA to avoid any confusion or misrepresentation.
