Former India international O Bembem among SAI Governing Body members

IMPHAL, Sep 20 : Former Indian footballer, Oinam Bembem has been appointed as a member of the Governing body of Sports Authority of India (SAI) which was reconstituted recently.
The governing body is chaired by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports is the Vice Chairman besides other 13 ex-officio members and 8 eminent sportspersons nominated by the Government of India on rotational basis giving due representation to each region of SAI including two women.
Renowned footballer from Manipur Oinam Bembem is among the 8 nominated members. The other members (eminent sportspersons) are Sh Kamlesh Mehta (Table Tennis), Akhil Kumar (Boxing), Sania Mirza (Tennis), Shiny Wilson (Athletics), Lajja Goswami (Shooting), Girraj Singh (Para Athlete), Neelam Setii Laxmi (weightlifting).
