ZSUM election, consultative meet held

JIRIBAM, Sep 14: The election of Zeliangrong Students Union Manipur (ZSUM), Barak Valley for the tenure 2023-2026 was held on September 12, 2023 at Jiribam Guest House.
The Information and Publicity Cell (ZSUM) in a press release informed that nine new members of Executive Council of Zeliangrong Students' Union have been elected. The release further informed that the remaining vacant posts will be inducted during the expansion of the executive body, added the release.
Meanwhile, Zeliangrong and its kindred tribe leaders also held a consultative meeting with the Zeliangrong leaders of the Barak Valley villages in Binnakandi village at Ranima Gaidinliu Memorial Hall on September 12, 2023 in connection with the ongoing political talk with Government of India and Zeliangrong United Front.
A similar meeting was also held in Puiluan (Kambiron) village at the local community hall on September 13, 2023.
After long deliberation, the attendees resolved to extend full cooperation and support to the ongoing political talk for early settlement of Zeliangrong Homeland, added the release.
