Aid extended to relief camps

BPR/KPI, Jul 26: The Manipur Victims Relief Committee visited a relief camp in Kangpokpi district today and provided relief material  to the internally displaced persons.
The Manipur Victims Relief Committee is formed by like-minded individuals from all sections of people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh including various Christian organizations of the two States.
They provided various essential basic requirements including rice, potato, dal, edible oil, onions, mats, chapels, medicine, utensils, etc.
Santarao, a member of the Committee, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, who is also a sales manager in a private firm in Hyderabad said that they have arranged all the basic requirements for the victims of Manipur violence and have visited relief camps and this is the first in Kangpokpi district.
He said, 'We will continue to visit various relief camps in the State and provide the basic requirements to internally displaced persons'.
He continued that in the future they also have plans to focus on the education of internally displaced children and also to rebuild the Churches and houses torched during the crisis. The distribution of the relief materials was conducted in collaboration with the Relief Committee of the Committee on Tribal Unity Sadar Hills.
Meanwhile, India donate Delhi in association with People's Resource Development Association (PRDA) Bishnupur donated edible  items and personal hygiene kits to three relief camps opened at Moirang Lamkhai Khoyol Keithel, Kwakta Ward 6 and Kwakta Shandong.
PRDA Bishnupur and the management committees expressed gratitude to India donate Delhi for the noble gesture during this tough time.
