RSS sketches plan to restore peace in Manipur

Imphal, Jul 16 : Expressing serious concern over the ongoing violence in Manipur, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has chalked out plans to restore peace and normalcy in the State.
A press release issued by RSS, Manipur Pranta said that  the Sangh during its All India Pranta Pracharak Meeting (Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak) held at Ooty, Tamil Nadu condemned the ongoing violence in the State.
The three-day (13-15 July 2023) annual meeting also discussed ways to make RSS Shakhas more aligned with their social responsibilities and encourage them to be more proactive, it said and added that serious concerns were expressed about the current situation in Manipur during the meeting.
Efforts are being made by the RSS Swayamsevaks to create an environment of peace, mutual trust, and provide necessary assistance to the affected families in Manipur, the State unit of RSS said.
Urging all sections of society to contribute in fostering mutual harmony and establishing peace, it added that a call was made to both the Central and State Governments to take up all every possible action to restore peace in Manipur
It may be recalled that, this is the second time within a month that the organisation has expressed concern over the violence in the State.
