During the peace protest, placards with inscriptions, "Stop using tribal card", "Stop using minority card", "Save the future of Manipur", "Don't mix faith and territorial integrity", "Stop protecting SoO militants",  "Give peace a chance", "We want peace", "We are against divisive force and external aggression", "No to separate administration", "All lives matter" and others were held.
Assistant Professor at DU Ramananda, cyclist Rohan Philem, Pastor Nabachandra, Advisor to National Commission of Minority Amrit Sing Pawha  and Indigenous People on Restoration of Peace president Ashang Kasar and Meitei Christian Churches Council president O Kumar attended the peace protest, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Ashang Kasar said that the conflict in Manipur is between the indigenous and non-indigenous folks.
Saying that Manipur violence spiralled out of control despite the deployment of large companies of Central security forces due to lack of political commitment, Ashang Kashar cautioned that not an inch of Manipur's territory  should be compromised as an appeasement policy.
It is not necessary for any group to take the path of violence just to place their demands, he said and warned  that violence will only beget more violence.
Further stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi needs to visit Mani-pur to monitor the situation and work out a solution, the social activist said that both the parties in conflict need to hold a dialogue to restore  normalcy in the State.
