IMPHAL, Jul 13
Justice Ajai Lamba, retired Chief Justice, Gauhati High Court, Chairman, Commission of Inquiry; accompanied by Devesh Deval, Secretary, Commission of Inquiry; Kh Diana Devi, DC Imphal East and other officers from Home Department, Government of Manipur, today visited the relief camps set up at Urup OBC Girls Hostel and Sports Hostel No 2, Khuman Lampak.
Justice Ajai Lamba inspected the relief camps and interacted with the displaced people taking shelter there, said a release issued by DC Imphal East.
The inmates of the relief camps were mostly from Moreh, Churachandpur, Sadu Yengkhoman, Ekou and Dolaithabi.
The retired Chief Justice accompanied by Imphal West DC, Th Kirankumar also visited the relief camp opened at Mekola Gulab Hr. Sec. School in Imphal West District.
Notably, the interaction was conducted in connection to the general process of inquiry.
Justice Ajai Lamba urged all the inmates to provide their full cooperation during the process in order to expedite the inquiry.
He also requested everyone present to join hands in bringing peace in the State.
