C Doungel mourned

IMPHAL, May 23: The Manipur Ex-MLAs Welfare Association has condoled the demise of former Finance Minister Chungkhokai Doungel. During his career, C Doungel held important portfolios in several Cabinets of Manipur Government and contributed to its development. He also played important roles in the peaceful and harmonious existence of the State over the years. The vacuum created by the loss of C Doungel cannot be filled for a long time to come, said the association sharing the pain and grief of the bereaved family members. Chungkhokai Doungel died on May 21 at Guwahati and his funeral was held at his native place at Kangpokpi yesterday. He was 82.
