IMA to not take admission fee for displaced students

IMPHAL, May 22 : Given the situation in Manipur, the Integrated Manipur Academy (IMA) in Malom has decided not to take admission fee for displaced students.
Speaking to media persons at its premises today, Principal of IMA Ng Milankumar said that many families have been compelled to leave homes in fear of their lives due to the conflict among sections of people which has  been taking place in Manipur since  May 3.
What is more disturbing is that the displaced folks include    many infants and students, he said and added that the Government and the schools must be at the forefront to save the future of these displaced students and children.
Reiterating that the management committee and staff of IMA agreed to not take the admission fee for this academic  session to aid the displaced people to some extent, Milankumar  appealed to the Centre and the State Government to restore normalcy at the earliest.
