Active cadres of RPF/PLA and KCP (PWG) arrested from different locations

IMPHAL, Apr 25: A team of Imphal West Commando arrested one active cadre of RPF/PLA from a rented house located at Patsoi Part I near Deepak Stone Crusher along with one air pistol and 4 live ammunition this morning.
The arrested cadre has been identified as Laishram Kiran Meitei alias Sunil alias Nongthon (43) s/o L Dhananjay Meitei of Mongjam Mamang Leikai Litan Makhong, Imphal East district and presently staying at a rented house at Patsoi Part-I.
According to the police, the team rushed to Patsoi Part I and carried out a search operation after receiving information from 4 Assam Rifles which was corroborated by the police's own sources.
The cadre was arrested during the said search operation.
During the preliminary interrogation, Kiran disclosed that he joined the said organization in September 1998 through one King of RPF/PLA and received 45 days basic military training in 1999/2000 at Singhat, Churachandpur. He was allotted Army No 1772 and worked under the command of S/S Major Jame of RPF/PLA Organization (101 A Reserve Battalion, Thangjing area) and S/S Major Hemanta of RPF/PLA Organization (252 Tactical Battalion, Sajik Tampak).
The Commando team recovered one mobile handset, one Aadhaar card, one air gun pistol and 4 live rounds of ammunition marked as 7.65 B from his possession.
The arrested person and the seized articles were handed over to Patsoi Police Station for further necessary legal action against him, said sources.
Separately, a combined team of Special Commando Khabeisoi and Column of 16 Assam Rifles arrested one active member of KCP People's War Group from his Chingmeirong Maning Leikai residence yesterday night.
Based on specific information about the presence of some active member of KCP People's War Group (PWG) in and around Chingmeirong area, the combined team under the command of Subedar L Bebekananda, OC, Special Commando under the supervision of Th Krishnatombi, SP, Railway, in-charge of Special Commando rushed to the spot last night and carried out a search operation in some suspected houses.
During the search operation, one active member of KCP (PWG) identified as Usham Rameshwor (34) s/o Usham Jugindro Singh.
On preliminary verification Usham Rameshwor revealed that he is an active member of KCP (PWG) and that he joined KCP in 2018 through one Kiran Singh of Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai.
Usham Rameshwor further disclosed that he works in the finance section under the command of one Lamyanba Khuman.
He had collected about Rs 1 lakh from the hospitals and clinics in Porompat area and handed over the sum to Lamyanba Khuman as party fund of KCP (PWG).
He was arrested at 8:00 pm last night by observing necessary formalities.
