Free medical camp held at various places

KAK/KJM, Feb 5 : National Medicos Organisation (NMO) Manipur Prant, Seva Bharati Manipur and Kangpat Khullen Village Authority organised a 2-days free medical camp at border village, Kangpat Khullen in Kamjong district today.
A medical team consisting of 14 doctors and lab technicians provided medical care to about 240 people from Kangpat Khullen, Kangpat Lamkhai, Aloyo, Nambisha and other nearby villages.
Facilities including blood sugar test, rapid profile test, high blood pressure and diabetes were also provided to the villagers.
At the event, Dr AK Joy Singh, professor & head Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, RIMS elaborated on the schemes initiated by the Government for the welfare of the people and urged the public to reduce the intake of salt to control high blood pressure.
Kangpat Khullen headman, Robinson extended his gratitude to the medical team for providing basic medical care to the people in remote areas of Kamjong district.
Similarly, as a part of Operation Sadbhavana, Shangshak Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) conducted a medical camp at Zingshui village in Kamjong district.
The camp was organised to provide medical care to the people living in remote areas of Kamjong district who are without access to basic medical facilities, said a release issued by PRO of IGAR(S).
A total of 312 people from Zingshui and nearby villages were provided medical care during the camp.
Moreover, Madiline Foundation and Laithagol Lamjing Lup (LLL) also jointly organised a free eye camp at Kondren Mandop in Kakching Ward No 10 today.
During the camp, free eye care was provided to about 190 people and Multi Vitamins & eye drops were distributed to senior citizens above the age of 70 years.
