Delegates from IIIT Nagpur accorded warm welcome

Delegates from IIIT Nagpur comprising of 40 students and 9 faculty members who are on a visit to the State as part of the Prime Minister's 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' Yuva Sangam 2023 were accorded a warm welcome during a reception ceremony held today at IIIT Manipur, Mantripukhri.
During the programme, M Asnikumar Singh, Chairman Loktak Development Authority (LDA) interacted with the delegates where he shared information on unique facets of Manipur; rich culture, 2000 plus years history, enormous contributions in sports, arts and crafts.
He highlighted Manipur's contributions and sacrifices in the Indian freedom movement.
He also spoke in detail about the transformation journey witnessed by the State under the twin engine governance model with BJP governments at both the Centre and the State.
He added, "The peace and stability brought by the BJP Govt under the leadership of CM N Biren Singh with the able guidance of  PM Narendra Modi has paved the way for a stable, sustained push towards rapid growth and all inclusive progress in the State."
Also, the BJP Governments at both the  centre and the state have left no stones unturned in ensuring the development of projects that highlight and showcase Manipur's unique identity and rich culture to the rest of the world.
The LDA Chairman further stated that Manipur hosting G20 events is a clear indication of positive changes Manipur  has undergone in the past 6 years.
 He also appealed to the delegates to visit significant and historical places including Loktak Lake, Sangai Ethnic Park, Govindajee Temple, Kangla Fort etc.
