MU women's Sepak Takraw team bag two gold

IMPHAL, Feb 16 :  Manipur University women's Sepak Takraw team won two gold medals in the All India Inter University Championship hosted by Panjab University, Chandigarh from March 13 to 15.
The MU women's team comprising M Jeny, Kh Ranjita, L Jaina, Priyaluxmi Laishram, L Sanjana, W Sanajaobi, W Pramodini, S Diana, S Nandita, L Priyanka and S Elizabeth won a gold medal in the regu event before  L Jaina, S Elizabeth, W Pramodini, W Sanajaobi, S Diana and M Jeny won another gold medal in quadrant event.
The team was led by Sh Prashanta Sharma, Assistant Professor at Pravabati College as the manager and M Sushilkumar Singh of All Manipur Sepak Takraw Association as the coach.
The VC and members of MU Sports Committee congratulated the women's team on their achievement, said a press note issued by the Department of Sports, Manipur University.
