Month-long Nupi Lal observation concludes

IMPHAL, Dec 31 : The month-long observation of Nupi Lal organised by Nupi Lal Memorial Association, wrapped up at Nupilan Memorial complex today.
The closing function was marked by offering floral tributes to the great mothers of the State who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the motherland.
Speaking on the occasion, Manipur Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board chairperson K Saratkumar said that everyone should acknowledge the bravery of the Manipuri women who took part in two historic movements against mass exploitation and artificial famine triggered by the British.
He also stressed on the need for the present generation to remember the strength & sacrificial spirit of mothers of the yore and bravely face any threat to the integrity of Manipur.
