69 Bn CRPF distributes solar lamps

69 Battalion CRPF under the aegis of Akhilesh Prasad Singh, IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector CRPF organized a civic action programme at Namthanjang, Khonglong and Ramji village at Keithelmanbi in Kangpokpi district wherein 57 solar lamps were distributed to the needy villagers.
A press release by the Commandant 69 Bn CRPF said that the solar lamps will be of great help to the general public for running their routine activities even at the time of power cut especially during night time.
The programme was graced by Bajrang Lal, Commandant 69 Bn CRPF as the chief guest.
Officers, jawans of the unit and prominent persons of the area including secretary/members of the village panchayats were also present at the occasion.
The chief guest apprised the gathering that the purpose of organizing the programme is to extend a helping hand to the poor and needy villagers and maintained that CRPF is serving not only as a peace keeper but also always in touch with the deprived people of the society for their healthy and prosperous life.
'It is our endeavour and constant effort to serve the poor and the needy people of Manipur as a whole', he said.
