Combat Sports Festival gold medallist Homeshwori feted

IMPHAL, Dec 26 : MMA athletes Khaidem Homeshwori who brought home a gold medal from the Combat Sports Festival organised by Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India in Mumbai was accorded a warm felicitation today.
The felicitation programme was organised by VRO Club, Lamdeng Awang Leikai who feted and encouraged local MMA star Kh Homeshwori for her achievements in the presence of Ayam Meiraba Khuman, chairman Mixed Martials Arts Manipur.
Speaking at the occasion, Meiraba said the achievement of Homeshwori amidst the ongoing restive situation in the State, is very significant and laudable.
Despite the hard time faced by the State, the State athletes continue to bring laurels to the State, he said while urging the State Government to give special attention to these athletes and ensure incentives and encouragements since most of the athletes belong to poverty stricken families.
Mention may be made that Homeshwori, besides her recent gold medal feat, had brought laurels to the State on multiple occasions.
