Free health camps organised

KAKCHING, Dec 10: A free naturopathy health camp was organised today at  Kalyan Ashram Kakching Relief Camp in connection with Kaun Banega Swasthya Rakshak (KBSR) Campaign which began on November 1 and is set to conclude on December 31.
The campaign was launched as part of Naturopathy Day 2023 observance held on November 18 under the theme "Naturopathy for Holistic Health".   
The naturopathy health camp which also sought to bring awareness among the people about the benefits of naturopathy was organised by Ananda Singh Yoga and Nature Cure Research Hospital located at Machin Manao Ching Kakching, which is under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, Surya Foundation, International Naturopathy Organisation (INO) and Kha Manipur Yoga and Nature Cure Association Kakching.
The free naturopathy health camp was attended by Dr Mayanglamabam Rajkumar, secretary, Kha Manipur Yoga and Nature Cure Association Kakching; Yengkhom Nilachandra, Vice Chairman, Peace Committee Kakching; Dr N Ambrabati, MO (AYUSH), PHC Kakching Khunou; Ming and Ananda Singh Yoga and Nature Cure Research namely Dr Y Rajesh and Dr N Senorika as presidium members. They educated the gathering about various benefits of naturopathy and many individuals availed the facilities provided at the free health camp.
Separately, Seva Bharati Manipur, Manipur Seva Samiti and National Medicos Organisation Manipur Unit conducted a free health camp at the relief camp set up at Old Age Home Kakching located at Kakching Panjao Pallum today.   The free health camp was organised in connection with the Dhanvantari Seva Jatra 2023-2024.
Five doctors from the National Medicos Organisation Manipur Unit with the assistance of others rendered their medical services to patients who flocked to the camp from the Old Age Home, Kha Manipur College Kakching Relief Camp and others.
The doctors provided their medical consultations in the field of surgery, medicine, paediatric, orthopaedic, cardiology, ENT etc and also distributed medicines free of cost to the ailing patients.
In addition, facilities for blood sugar test and ECGs were also made available to the public.
