AITA Championship SeriesAditya Bikram, Nayeem Hussain take U-14 boys, U-16 girls singles titles

IMPHAL, Dec 9 : Assam's Aditya Bikram Kaman and Nayeem Hussain seal two titles each in the ongoing AITA Championship Series hosted by IDTA at its Lamphel court.
Aditya Bikram Kaman clinched the U-14 boys singles title with a 6-0, 7-5 win over Aaditya Sinha of Meghalaya in the final and secured the U-16 boys doubles crown with Aaditya Sinha with a 6-2, 7-5, 10-4 win over Assam pair of Ayaan Rehman and Patar Enrich in the final.
Aditya Bikram had reached the final with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Afnan Ahmed in an all-Assam semi-final clash while Aaditya  Sinha sealed the final ticket with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Yohenba Keithellakpam.
Aditya-Aaditya pair in the meantime booked the final berth with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Manipur pair of Gurumayum Sudarshan and Thiyam Joshua in the semis while Ayyan-Enrich pair completed the final line up with a 6-1, 3-6, 10-3 win over Assamese pair of Ayangdip Medak and Afnan Ahmed.
Meanwhile, Nayeem Hussain sealed the U-16 girls title with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Sernya LA of Sikkim in the ultimate clash and went on to win the doubles title with Sernya as they combined well to ease 6-0, 6-1 past Devanshi Tamuly of Assam and Manipur's Guruaribam Abha Sharma.
Nayeem had earlier earned the U-16 singles final slot with an easy 6-1, 6-1 win over compatriot Utpalakshee as Sernya LA pulled off a comfortable 6-1, 6-0 win over Devanshi Tamuly.
In the doubles competition semi-finals, Nayeem-Sernya pair outlasted Changamayum Leithoi and Saikhom Anjelica of Manipur 6-0, 6-1 while Devanshi and Abha secured a 6-2, 6-0 win over  Manipur-Assam pair of Warepam Merliah and Utpalakshee Saikia to complete the final line up.
