Committee of Voluntary Blood Donor Organisations Manipur constituted

IMPHAL, Nov 5
A new body called Committee of Voluntary Blood Donor Organisations Manipur was constituted today during a meeting held at DESAM Head Office.
The meeting was participated by representatives of Helping Hands for Peoples Manipur, Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Manipur, Personality & Talent Development Organisation Manipur, Kangleipak News Tengpang Lup, Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur, Green Brigade Bishnupur, TYA Tronglaobi, PRO Tronglaobi, Voluntary Donors Group Manipur, All Manipur Students Union Manipur, Saiyon Helping Hands, Regular Voluntary Blood Donors Group (RVBDG), E-Pao Tengbang Lup, Humanity For Society and Kangleipak Students Association, said a release.
A number of topics/ issues were discussed at the meeting including ways to increase regular blood donation and welfare measures of blood donors.
The meeting also unanimously resolved to appoint Premjit Moirangthem and convenor of the new committee and Soibam Noren, Sarangthem Kumarjit and Mayengbam Somorjit Meitei as co-convenors.
One member each from the participating organisations were also appointed as executive members of the new committee.
