Classic FA crowned champions of Arunkumar Memorial Futsal tournament

IMPHAL, Nov 22 : Classic FA were crowned champions of the third Col Ksh Arunkumar Memorial Futsal tournament 2023-24 organised by the All Manipur Football Association at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
Classic FA amassed 31 points from 10 wins and 1 draw in 11 matches as they finished the 12-team tournament unbeaten. Poloi Football Club (PFC) finished second in the tournament with 28 points from 9 wins and 1 draw in 11 matches as NEROCA FC finished third on 25 points from 8 wins and 1 draw.
Finishing in the rock bottom were Balananda Football Academy who could muster only a point off a draw in 11 matches.
The last match of the tournament saw KRYPHSA end the campaign with a 7-5 win over ESU. Nimaichand Angom (1', 19', 30', 38') led the scoring for KRYPHSA as S Dharmajoy (13'), Heikrujam Deven (28') and Ch Resko (37') added a goal apiece. For ESU, Ajay Meitei (3', 8'), Pukhrimayum Rashi (12'), Ningthoujam Sanathoi (16') and Md Abbas (21') found the target.
The closing ceremony was attended by M Devananda, Addl Advocate General; M Ratankumar, president All Manipur Football Association as dignitaries who also feted the champions and other key players.
