Col NC Khuman promoted to Brigadier, SSIAA congratulates

The Sainik School Imphal Alumni Association (SSIAA) has congratulated Colonel Ngangbam Chingkheinganba Khuman on  being approved to the rank of  Brigadier in the Indian Army.
SSIAA, in its congratulatory note, wished the Army officer good luck, success and more laurels in all his future endeavors.
Colonel Ngangbam Chingkheinganba Khuman, s/o Late Ng Roman Singh and Ng Priyosakhi Devi of Kangla Sangomshang was born in 1977.
He did his initial schooling from his village with the guidance from his uncle Late Ng Manglemjao Singh and later completed his secondary education from Sainik School Imphal in 1994.
He belongs to the 16th batch of Sainik School Imphal, bearing Adm. No. 947.
SSIAA continued that Col Ng Chingkheinganba was a kin sportsman, a busy learner and always cheerful and a well-disciplined cadet while in school.
He joined the National Defence Academy in 1994 and graduated from the Tri Services Academy in 1997.
He joined the Indian Military Academy, Dehra-dun in 1997 and was commissioned into the 4th Battalion, 9th Gorkha Rifles, in 1998.
During his illustrious career of 26 years, Col Ching- kheinganba held various important staff and instruc- tional appointments and has served in challenging areas in J&K and North East.
As a Major, he held a diplomatic appointment as Assistant Military Attaché in Kathmandu for three years, where he was awarded with Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card.
He also commanded his battalion along Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu.
The Army officer has attended Higher Command Course in  2017-18, along with Col Ningombam Hemachandra who is also now approved for the rank of Brigadier.
