13th State Level Powerlifting Championships concludeHanjabam Hritikraj, Sagolshem Sarjubala emerge best lifters

IMPHAL, Oct 2 : The 13th State Level Sub-Junior, Junior, Senior and Masters Men and Women Powerlifting Championships came to a close today.
Hosts PBBPTC, Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai were were emerged sub-junior men, junior men, junior women and Masters women's team champions as Mountain Gym, Khoyathong took the senior men's and senior women's team titles, and   Laikon Upper Primary School secured sub-junior women's team title.
PBBPTC also earned more titles with Hanjabam Hritikraj Sharma and Sarjubala Sagolshem were declared best lifters in the men and women's competitions.
Hanjabam Hritikraj is the son of the Sub-Editor of The Sangai Express, Hanjabam Rajendrakumar of Soibam Leikai. Kangabam Chinglen-khomba of PBBPTC topped the 66 kg sub-junior competition registering 130 kg in squad, 95 kg in bench press and 200 kg in deadlift to amass 425 kg.
M Leikhomba of MG also managed a combined weight of 425 kg (150+90+200) but had to settle for the silver medal as K Chinglenkhomba had lesser body weight than him. Khangembam Rikash of SBBF, Kwakeithel Bazar were able to secure the bronze with a 320 kg finish (120+80+120).
Keisham Albert of HAKSHEL claimed the 66 kg junior men's title, recording 155 kg in squad, 97.5 kg in bench press and 210 kg in deadlift for a combined finish of 462.5 kg. Maibam Cha Birjit of Radiant Fitness (125+87.5+170=382.5 kg) and Deepakson Elangbam of NSU (40+50+110= 220 kg) finished second and third.
Hanjabam Hritikraj Sharma of PBBPTC recorded a best total of 560 kg (215 kg in squad, 125 kg in bench press and 220 kg in deadlift) to seal the senior men's 66 kg category title. His compatriot, Yumlembam Robinson recorded 380 kg (125+85+170) to finish second while Haobijam Jooken of SBBF, Kwakeithel bagged the bronze with a total finish of 350 kg (100+70 + 170).
Richard Elangbma of PBBPTC earned the gold medal in the sub-junior men's 75 kg category managing a total lift of 375 kg (120+85+170) as Ningthoujam Monish of the same unit bagged the silver with a total finish of 322.5  kg and Khangembam Danny of U-Fitness secured the bronze medal with a total lift of 285 kg.
Sathyajeet Singh Salam of Apunba Fitness Clan, Chingamakha (140+80+140), Thangjam Anand of PBBPTC (110+80+150) and Yohenba Mongjam of Apunba Fitness Clan (120+85 +115) finished first, second and third in the junior men's 74 kg category.
Mutum Conqueror of Chumthang Gym (140+ 107.5 +150), Lourembam Yelsin of U-Fitness (105+65+140) and Konthoujam Premjit of U-Fitness (110+77.5+120) finished first, second and third in the senior men's 74 kg category.
In the 83 kg junior men's category, Tensubam Jestin of PBBPTC bagged the gold medal with a combined finish of 450 kg (170+95+185) as Wangam Wairokpam of Radiant Fitness clinched the silver with 440 kg finish (145+100+195).
Senior men's 83 kg category title went to Maibam Johnson of Mountain Gym who topped with a combined finish of 485 kg (180+125+180) as RK Helix of SBBF secured the silver with a total lift of 400 kg (140+95+165).
Rajkenan Shougrakpam of PBBPTC won the 93 kg sub-junior men's' title recording 90 kg in squad, 70 kg in bench press and 160 kg in deadlift as Shivananda Wangkheimayum of Sayon Gym (540 kg) and Oinam Ashis of SBBF (320 kg) secured the gold medal in the junior men's' 93 kg category competition.
Longjam Prashant of PBBPTC who registered 185 kg in squad, 95 kg in bench press and 185 kg in deadlift earned the 93 kg senior men's title as Rajeshwor Moirangthem of SBBF (140+55+150) and Khomdram Devdutta of U-Fitness (120+50+145) secured sub-junior men's 105 kg and junior men's' 105 kg category gold medals respectively.
Y Indrakumar of SBBF (160+120+190= 470 kg) and Darlin Salam (170+100+120= 480 kg) also won the 120 kg and 120+ category competitions.
The Masters-4 women's 69 kg category title went to Thokchom Subadani of PBBPTC who recorded 105 kg total (45+20+40) while the 63 kg Masters 2 category went to Atom Somibala of PBBPTC who finished with a combined lift of 190 kg (50+20+120).
PBBPTC's Samurailatpam Tamphasana (55+20+50=125 kg) and RK Sanatombi (20+20+40=80 kg) claimed the 63 kg masters-4 and 63 kg Masters-4 titles as RK Minisana of MG (80+50+130=260 kg) won the 63 kg Masters-I title.
Keisham Arika of PBBPTC clinched the junior women 63 kg category title (105+45+240=390 kg) as Sarjubala Sagolshem of PBBPTC won the 69 kg category gold with a 297.5 kg finish (117.5+60+120).
Thokchom Sanjeeta of PBBPTC (100+40+100=240 kg), Yumkhaibam Fajiton of SBBF (90+40+110=240 kg) and Brahmacharimayum Nimi of PBBPTC (100+70+115=285) were able to secure the senior women's 63 kg, 69 kg and 76 kg category titles respectively.
Mariana Khumujam of PBBPTC (50+20+85+155 kg), Laishram Tarshi of PBBPTC (65+30+85=180 kg) and Silky Thangjam of Equinox Gym (90+42.5+97.5= 230 kg) in the meantime won the sub-junior women's 63 kg, 69 kg and +84 kg category gold medals.
