'Manipuri Seireng gi Numit' celebrated

IMPHAL, Oct 28 : JN Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) in association with Fiction & Poetry Club Manipur celebrated 'Manipuri Seireng gi Numit' at the auditorium of JNMDA today.
It was attended by Manipur University, School of Humanities, Dean, Prof Nahakpam Aruna; JNMDA, Director, Pukhrambam Bilash Singh; Sahitya Akademi awardee Lanchenba Meitei; Fiction & Poetry Club Manipur president Dr Heisnam Budhichandra as presidium members.
During the event,  Mahakavi Anganghal Seireng Mana 2023 was awarded to Arambam ongbi Memchoubi for her book, "Thamamba Ahing" and three prominent lyricists namely Yengkhom Bihari (Kakching), IS Kangjam (Imphal) and Khagembam Ibeton (Bishnupur) were felicitated.
The 20th edition of 'Mapao' journal published by Fiction & Poetry Club Manipur and a book titled 'Saktam Machu Machu' written by Prof Polem Nabachadra were also released.
