Message of brotherhood

IMPHAL, Oct 23 : A group of veteran soldiers (ex-servicemen) of Moirang and Bishnupur held a simple and solemn function to spread the message of brotherhood with around 50 survivors sheltering in Moirang and Bishnupur relief camps.
Lt Gen Dr K Himalay Singh (retd), along with a group of veteran officers from Manipur graced the function to offer comfort and solidarity to the displaced persons, said a statement issued by Lt Col L Manongba (Indian Army veteran), Wings of Hope Charitable Trust.
Notably, the displaced folks are families of 20 ex-servicemen from areas affected by the almost 6 month old crisis.
On behalf of Wings of Hope Charitable Trust, Lt Col L Manongba also presented four sets of candle making materials to the families of the ex-servicemen. Meanwhile, Lt Col KN Singh (retd) of Moirang convened the function and executive members of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha Manipur also attended the event to express their solidarity.
