Manipur Theatre Day observed

IMPHAL, Oct 21 : Theatre Centre, Manipur (TCM), today organised the "Observance of Manipur Theatre Day and 69th death anniversary of Sorokhaibam Lalit Singh" at the Auditorium of Manipur Dramatic Union (MDU), Yaiskul Police Lane, Imphal.
It was attended by Sunanda Thokchom, secretary Manipur State Kala Akademi; Soraisham Keshoram, Manipur State Kala Akademi awardee & president MDU; and G Dharmadash Sharma, Deputy Director, Art & Culture, Government of Manipur as presidium members.
During the event, the gathering paid floral tribute to a photograph of Sorokhaibam Lalit Singh.
 Lalit Ningshing Khudol for the year 2023 was awarded to Prof M Akshayakumar and Ibechaobi Ningshing Khudol was presented to Yumnam Rajani Devi of Yumnam Leikai, Imphal West.
Kh Ranabir, general secretary TCM delivered the keynote & welcome address while S Beeren, convenor Organising Committee, proposed the vote of thanks.
