MACA office building inaugurated

SENAPATI, Oct 15: MLA 44 Ukhrul Assembly Constituency and retd IAS Ram Muivah inaugurated the new office building of Maram Area Catholic Association (MACA) yesterday at N’tazang, Senapati District Headquarters.
It may be noted that MACA comprises nineteen Catholic churches which are drawn from all Maram areas of Senapati district.
The inaugural function of the office building was accompanied by the unveiling of a monolith and was held in the presence of different church leaders and CSOs.
Notably, former Minister Francis Ngajokpa, former Deputy Speaker MLA K Raina, Fr T Phuba James, SDB (First Maram Priest) Fr Sebastian CJ, SDB, Ng Phuba James, president, MACA, ANSAM president, SDWA president, Senapati District Catholic Union, Poumai Naga Catholic Me, Mao Catholic Association, Zeme Catholic Union, Liangmai Catholic Association, Maram Naga Baptist Association, priests and nuns, MKS president, MCRC executives, MCYA executives, Katumlui secretary, Mayankang Khonou Catholic Church executives, Senapati District Catholic Youth Organisation, former ADCs Rang and Rangpung, church leaders and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
During his speech, MLA Ram Muivah shared that there is a renaissance in Senapati district and in Maram as well with so much development and changes occuring.
Maintaining that the contribution of the Catholic institutions to society is enormous and an undeniable fact, he stressed that most of the notable leaders are from Catholic schools while also giving credit for all his achievements to the Catholic church and school.
Meanwhile, Francis Ngajokpa lauded the list of donors consisting of various individuals from different religions who contributed generously for the MACA office construction.
He appealed to the congregation to learn from fellow brethren baptists who generously contributed for charity and tithe.
Sharing his own life story, he shared that when one is generous to others, in return God helps us in different ways.  Thus, he appealed to the assembly to have generous hearts and contribute for the welfare and development of society and for the glory of God.
During the programme, the MACA executives acknowledged all the donors with a memento. The monolith and the MACA office building was blessed by Fr T Phuba James SDB, First Maram Priest.
