One day workshop on NAAC Accreditation conducted

MOIRANG, Oct 14: A one-day workshop on Accreditation under NAAC (2nd Cycle) of Moirang College was held today at the conference hall of the college.
The workshop was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Moirang College under the aegis of the Directorate of University & Higher Education, Manipur.
Former Faculty and alumni member Moirang College, Y Modhu Singh; Principal Moirang College, Dr Md Raheijuddin Sheikh; OSD Directorate of University & Higher Education, Dr N Ajith Singh and Nodal Officer Administration, Moirang College N Joy Singh graced as the presidium members of the event.
During the workshop, the attendees observe one minute silence in the honour of the martyrs of the ongoing conflict.
Dr N Ajith Singh gave a powerpoint presentation on the topic 'IT & new framework for accreditation of college under NAAC'.
The first technical session of the workshop was moderated by Y Modhu wherein Assistant Professor Dr Ngasepam Pikeshwor Singh, DM College of Arts presented a lecture on the topic 'HQA –AQAR – SSR (Criteria 1 & 2) and bench mark' while Assistant Professor of Lilong Haoreibi College, Joychandra Kharibam presented a lecture on the topic 'SSR for A & A of NAAC : Merit-wise Explanation (Criteria III to VII)'.
Later, an interaction and assessment session was held during the second technical session moderated by Moirang College Principal, Dr Md Raheijuddin Sheikh.
Speaking at the occasion, Y Modhu stressed on the importance of keeping oneself well-equipped with information technology to access global knowledge so as to update the teaching methodologies to captivate the students thereby making the learning process informative and interesting.
