Arambam (o) Memchoubi to be conferred Mahakavi Anganghal Seireng Mana

IMPHAL, Oct 15 : Mahakavi Anganghal Seireng Mana for the year 2023 will be awarded to Arambam ongbi Memchoubi for her book, "Thamamba Ahing".
The award which carries a cash prize of Rs 25, 000, citation and a shawl is presented by Fiction And Poetry Club, Manipur.
Addressing a press conference today at the clubs's office in Uripok, Fiction And Poetry Club president Dr Heisnam Budhichandra informed that three books were short-listed for the award namely "Heikha Mapalna Thunglabada" written by Rajkumar Bhubansana, "Thamamba Ahing" by Arambam ongbi Memchoubi and "Leimarembini Ei" by Shamurailatpam Shantibala.
He shared that "Thamamba Ahing" was selected for the award following the recommendation given by jury members of the final round namely Prof Polem Nabachadra Singh, Dr Moirangthem Priyabrata Singh and Ningombam Nando Singh.
Dr Heisnam Budhichandra also asserted that the award will be presented during the Manipur Sheireng Numit observance on October 28, 2023.
