Blood donation, integrated health camp held

Haobam Rosita, Project Director, Manipur State AIDS Control Society, on Thursday launched a two-day Integrated Health Camp (IHC) at RDO Complex, Lamshang.
The camp was organised by Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MSACS) in collaboration with Directorate of Health, NHM, AYUSH, National TB Elimination Programme, National Viral Hepatitis Programme and District AIDS Prevention Control Committee, Imphal West, said MSACS in a release.
During the camp, extended outreach activities were conducted at Maklang, Salam, Patsoi Part 3, Phayeng, Khurkhul & Sekmai under Haorang Sabal Block.
Apart from general health check-up, HIV & syphilis screening, STI/RTI screening & treatment, TB screening, Hepatitis B & C screening, Hepatitis B vaccination were also conducted.
A total of 180 (106 male & 74 female) benefitted from the health camp.
Similar camps will also be held at Sawombung, Keirao Bitra and Wangoi blocks covering 14 villages.
Moreover, L.M.S. Law College Students' Union also organised a One Day Blood Donation Camp at the Transfusion Department of RIMS, Imphal on Thursday.
In a release, the Union informed that the blood donation camp was conducted to pay respect to the martyrs who gave their lives for the motherland and help the people who have been injured during the ongoing conflict.
The Union also appealed to the Central and State Government to make a concerted effort to find a lost lasting solution and restore peace & normalcy in Manipur at the earliest.
