Rashtriya Poshan Maah launched

District Administration Tamenglong in association with District Programme Officer, ICDS Cell, Tamenglong on Monday launched Rashtriya Poshan Maah under Poshan Abhiyaan at Zeliangrong Evangelical Fellowship Conference Hall in Tamenglong District Headquarters.
It was attended by Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong, Pawan Yadav; District Immunization Officer Tamenglong, Dr Sunil Kamei and District Programme Officer, ICDS Cell Tamenglong M Sobha Devi as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Yadav stated that Posan Maah was launched in 2018 to create awareness about nutrition at the grass root level with the convergence of three/four departments including Education, Medical and PHED.
 "Rastriya Poshan Maah also aims to increase nutrition awareness among mothers of young children, adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women, and family members", he added.
Dr Sunil Kamei and M Sobha Devi also spoke on the occasion.
Later, Pawan Yadav also flagged off a Poshan Rally to mark the launch of Rashtriya Poshan Maah.
