Writer's Forum, Manipur holds annual general body meeting

The annual general body meeting of Writer's Forum, Manipur was held today at Manipur Hindi Parishad, Imphal.
According to a statement issued by M Notilal, secretary, Writer's Forum Manipur, Keisham Priyokumar, president, Writer's Forum presided over the meeting.
During the general body meeting, previous leaders Keisham Priyokumar,  and M Notilal were appointed as president and secretary for the term 2022-2025.
A two minute silence was also observed by the gathering to pay respect to the writers who pass away during 2019-2022.
Members who received National and State awards were also honoured with memorial awards and felicitated.
The statement also appealed the central Government to take up the necessary steps for inclusion of Manipuri language among the classical languages of India.
