Premchand poker fires Manipur Terrier into LS Trophy Second League Round

KANGPOKPI, Sep 2: Momentum gained high as the first league round of the ongoing Len and Sang Trophy at Brig M Thomas ground Kangpokpi District Headquarters inches closer to its end.
In today's group C encounter, Taphou Football Club devastated Ninou Football Club with a 4-0 win to earn full points as Ngamminlen (19'), Mangginhao (21'), Daniel (70') and Sehthang (74') all found the target.
Later in a group A encounter, Twilang Area Sporting Association had a narrow 1-0 win over Kangpokpi Youth Union to enter into the second league round.
The winning goal for TASA was scored by Lalkhanlen in the 10th minute.
In another Group C encounter,  Th Premchand Singh produced an eye-catching performance by scoring four goals in Manipur Terrier Imphal's 6-0 win over Senapati's Angkailongdi Football Club 6-0 and guided the army team into the second league round of the football tournament.
Th Premchand Singh found a brilliant opener in the 11th minute before pumping in three more goals in the 47th, 50th and 60th minutes. In between, RN Ngatangmi had scored a goal in the 20th minute while Paotinmoi added the decisive goal in the 68th minute.
Manipur Terrier's striker Th Premchand Singh, so far, has six goals in his boot having scored two goals in their first match against Taphou FC.
Remaing first round league matches (scheduled tomorrow) : 1. Satkhohen and Sumkhomang Memorial Team vs Saikotjang Youth Club; 2. Eimi Students' Fellowship, Maram vs Golngai Football Club; 3. Hintwi Football Club vs TYPOM Maohing
Second league round of the tournament featuring MSL and AMFA Cup teams will kick-off after tomorrow's matches.
