3 held with ganja

DIMAPUR, Sep 2 : Three persons from Manipur were arrested by Nagaland police on Thursday while transporting ganja, reports NNN.
Police said that around 9 pm on that day, Nagaland police personnel of Narcotic Cell mobile unit, performing routine frisking and checking of suspected vehicles at NH-2, intercepted a Dimapur-bound vehicle (Renault Duster) near Viswema Y-Junction of Kohima-Pfutsero-Imphal, which was coming from Imphal, Manipur.
According to the police, a thorough search of the vehicle resulted in recovery of 200 kg of suspected ganja which were found wrapped in black polythene. Accordingly, three occupants of the vehicle identified as Anion Raingam (52 years), Ng Masotmi (42 years) and Holichan Shinglai (53 years) were arrested and the illegal contraband along with the vehicle duly seized. All the arrested persons are from Ukhrul district, according to the police.
A case, vide Narcotic Cell Police Station Case No. 10/2022 U/S 20 (b) (ii) (c)/60 NDPS Act, has been registered for further investigation, the police added.
