ADC delimitation

IMPHAL, Sep 14 : The delimitation exercise for conducting election of 10 Autonomous District Councils is nearing completion while the delimitation sub committee formed for the purpose is likely to submit its report to the Government tomorrow.
The Sub-Committee for Delimitation of Constituencies of Autonomous District Councils was formed by Hill Areas Committee (HAC) of Manipur Legislative Assembly with Commissioners and Sub-Divisional Officers as members and it has been carrying out the delimitation exercise at Ukhrul, Kamjong, Tengnoupal, Chandel, Pherzawl, Churachandpur, Noney, Tamenglong to conduct ADC elections.
According to well placed sources, the sub committee may submit its report to the Government tomorrow and the Tribal Affairs and Hills will make some official announcement pertaining to ADC elections after reviewing the report.
The sources continued that the ADC elections are not likely to be held in October as the notification for holding elections has to be published 45 days in advance according to the Election Commission.
