IMPHAL, Sep 12: Tengnoupal District Magistrate promulgated prohibitory order under sub section 2 of section 144 of the CrPC within the area from Khoibu to Haikot Villages of Machi Sub Division in Tengnoupal District following a clash between the two villages over land dispute.
Sources said that atleast one woman has been injured in the said clash that reportedly took place this afternoon.
With the apprehension for the occurrence of further violence between the villagers and breach of law and order in the villages which may result to cause obstruction, annoyance of injury to any person and danger to human life, health or safety, leading to the public tranquility and hindrance to survey activities from Shangshak to Tengnoupal National Highway 102 A road expansion, the Tengnoupal DM promulgated CrPC from Khoibu to Haikot Villages later this evening.
Assembly of five or more persons, carrying of firearms, sticks, stones without a valid license, weapons or objects of any description which can be used as offensive weapons are banned or prohibited within the CrPC promulgated area.
