The Public Health Engineering Department has notified consumers of Irilbung Water Treatment Plant that it will supply treated water to the public after every alternate day.
A notification issued by PHED, Manipur has shared that one of the two pumps of the Irilbung Water Treatment Plant has been damaged due to prolonged use. As such, the plant is currently operating with only one intake pump due to which it is not able to produce the usual quantity of treated water resulting in irregular supply of treated water, the notification added.
Further, it said that normal supply of treated water will resume after installation of another pump set.
The notification has expressed for the inconvenience caused to the public in this connection.
